58. Freshly Baked Caramel Cake

This cake includes the cake, the platter, the book and even the recipe!  Donated by Sheila Gordon-Payne, it was inspired by the character of Minnie from The Help by Kathryn Stockett.  The cake is as famous for its taste as Minnie is for telling it like it is.

57. Double Fudge Chocolate Brownies

These four dozen brownies, complete with brownie spatula and pebbled glass platter, are simply decadent.  Donated by Beth Diamond, they were coupled with Death by Chocolate.  These pecan-containing brownies are certain to send you to heaven.

56. Music Note Wreath

This wreath is made of more than a hundred rolled music sheets, and is more than two feet in width.  Donated by Rae Klassen, we've coupled it with 1000 Keyboard Ideas, this wreath would be beautiful on any door or in any window this Christmas.

55. Wheat Sheaf Bread

This shaped bread was adapted from a recipe more than a hundred years old.  Donated by Erin Seidemann, it was coupled with Little Town on the Prairie by Laura Ingalls Wilder, this carefully shaped bread brings back memories of yesteryear.

54. Fruit Preserves and Oat Scones

The preserves with these scones  are sugar free and use no commercial pectin.  Donated by Leslie Rowlands, it comes straight from the recipes found in Canning for a New Generation by Lisa Krissoff, it includes flavours such as hot chile and pear/ginger.

53. Wall Hanging

Inspired by the story of Saleem Sinai, born precisely on the moment of Indian independance.  Donated by Ellen Little, it takes inspiration from the book Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie, this quilted wall hanging features the silver spitoon first given to Saleem's sister by the Rani of Cooch Naheen as a wedding gift first given to Saleem's sister by the Rani of Cooch Naheen as a wedding gift.  The snakes and ladders that signify the rise and fall of the family's fortunes are represented in the border of the quilt.

51. "Time to Recycle?" Book Clock

 This book lover's clock takes recycling to the future!  Recycling Resources by Laurence H. Pringle is the book at the project at hand in this case, made and donated by Rae Klassen.  The clock takes an AA battery to run and is about seven inches tall.

50. Folded Paper Wreaths

This Christmas wreaths are made of recycled books and beautifully folded.  Coupled with "Twist Paper Wreath, " an article from Easy Does It Needlework & Crafts found through our EBSCOhost database, the wreaths were created and donated by Rae Klassen.  These beautiful wreaths will be auctioned seperately, to give you the choice of roses or curls.

49. Christmas Tree Skirt

 This Christmas tree skirt is has quilted fabric and ribbon to go around the base of your tree and provide a soft spot for presents.  Coupled with Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, it was donated by Janet Pierce.  The skirt is over three feet in diameter and trimmed with lace.
