Sponsor-a-Book Program @ the Prince Rupert Public Library:

A great way to support your public library is through our “Sponsor-a-Book”
program. Money you donate will be used for purchasing new books to add to
our collection, or to replace lost/damaged books. Monetary contributions can
be made in cash or cheque only. The amount you donate is entirely up to
you, however, for $ 20 or more, you can request for a tax receipt.

Three options:

  1. Cash/cheque donation towards library's Wish List, with or without
    book plate option.
  2. General cash/cheque donation to be used at Management's discretion on
the ordering of books. Donation can be with or without a book plate
    entry inside book cover.
  3. Cash/cheque donation to go towards a specific author, series, or subject
of choice but at Management's approval. Can be with or without book
    plate option.

How does the Wish List work?

  1. The Prince Rupert Library will provide a wish list and prices of books for
    you to choose from.
  2. Fill out an Sponsor-a-Book form per title/author and pay in cash/cheque at
    the Front Desk.
  3. Book(s) will be purchased by the library and processed for patron
    borrowing.
    • If you would like to, a special book plate can be placed inside book
    cover acknowledging your monetary contribution.
    ◦ Bookplate options: for “you”, “in honour of”, “In memory of” or if
you'd like to remain anonymous, that's fine too.
  4. You can be the first to borrow your book(s) when they arrive.
    • You will be called when your book(s) are ready for pick up.
