Sam wrote “This vortex shawl was knit using hand dyed merino wool in the film noir colourway by Hedgehog.” Sam was inspired by Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials series where the lace shawl represents the 'D.U.S.T.' surrounding the adults. Sam spent over 50 hours knitting this shawl, the yarn cost $70.00 and she would be happy with a minimum bid of $50.00.
