Protocol and Respect
To follow the correct protocol and to make the appropriate respectful relationships needed to complete a First Nations project of this size and importance. To do this, we must:
- work closely with the First Nations Elders at the Friendship House in Prince Rupert -- a multi-national group - asking for permission, guidance, and support
- work closely with and obtain permissions from the Tsimshian Tribal Council, and the Allied Tsimshian Tribal Association to do the project on Tsimshian territory.
- provide the necessary protection of specialized information through legal counsel and the counsel of the Elders and Tribal organizations.
- ensure that at every stage of the project, First Nations People are directly involved.
