36. Folk Art Wall Hanging by Sheila Seidemann

The wool fabric in the hand-appliquéd centre motif of this wall hanging creates the warmth of this piece, as does the blanket stitch surrounding the design. The quilted log cabin block in folk-art tones that frames the centre enhances that homeyness. The sleeve on the back will make hanging easy, using a simple dowel or curtain rod. Sheila was inspired by the book Hooked on Wool by Martingale and Co. This piece took many hours to create and Sheila would like a minimum bid of $35.00.
