Nancy Wilson (2004-05) is the latest President of the Rotary Club of Prince Rupert, following a tradition of 84 years.
Leaders in their fields, many Club Presidents had remarkable careers. Dr. William Kergin (1924-25) was a pioneer physician who served as MLA from 1907 to 1910. Charles Evitt (1936-37) worked as an auctioneer, auditor, accountant, a major in the militia, started a coal delivery business and ventured into real estate and lumber sales.
Al Sheppard (1993-94) was the long-time Mayor of Port Edward and founding President of the North Pacific Historic Fishing Village. Former Club Presidents, Herb Pond and Don Scott, are current and past Mayors of the City of Prince Rupert.
