The Prince Rupert Public Library is seeking an Indigenous Storyteller in Residence for Fall 2026. This part-time position runs from September 1 to December 12, 2026, with compensation of $10,000 to $15,000 for 14 weeks on a self-employed basis.
The successful candidate will split their time equally between developing a personal creative project and delivering library programming that promotes Indigenous culture and storytelling through any artistic medium, including oral, written, visual, musical, or performance-based work. The residency is open to Indigenous artists with strong community connections to Lax Kxeen, Prince Rupert, and the surrounding area.
