Knit & Crochet Social

Every Thursday afternoon the Library hosts a cozy group of crafters. If you knit, crochet, or have a similarly portable textile based hobby, you should come and try it out.

This is a social event for self-directed individuals to bring their personal projects.

Thursdays starting at 1 pm in the multipurpose room.

May Catch-up

We did a fair bit of shuffling in May and changed the shelving location of our encyclopedias, and our multilingual collection. Encyclopedias can now be found with the oversized counter near the window, and the multi-lingual books are now located on the curved shelf beneath the stairs.

Ken Shaw had a well attended book launch, and Christine Sutherland taught two workshops on the benefits of massage at all ages. UBCO was in twice in May to do science based crafts with children, first teaching them about DNA, and then single-celled bacteria.

We had the last strip of old carpet replaced in our Teen Zone, adding another pop of colour.

Our current library displays feature AccessAbility, and New Large Print. Pride and ParticipACTION displays are in the works.

Nearly 300 people entered to win our prizes at Salmon Fest, and we were very appreciative of the enthusiasm.

Your Prince Rupert Library card also provides access to CELA and Libby. If you have any questions about these available services, please ask at the circulation desk.
