Indigenous Storyteller in Residence – Fall 2025 (Temporary Position)

The Prince Rupert Library is launching its first Indigenous Storyteller in Residence program, running full-time from September 1 to December 12, 2025.

This is a self-employed contract position. Compensation ranges from $10,000 to $15,000 for 14 weeks at 35 hours per week.

This residency supports a local Indigenous storyteller in delivering community programming while also pursuing their own creative project. The position is open to Indigenous artists, writers, and performers connected to Lax Kxeen, Prince Rupert, or surrounding areas.

Summer Reading Club Coordinator – Summer 2025 (Temporary Position)

The Prince Rupert Library is hiring a Summer Reading Club Coordinator for a temporary, full-time student position running from June 30 to August 15, 2025.

This 7-week role is funded through Young Canada Works and pays $19.86/hour for 35 hours per week. The coordinator will plan and deliver fun, literacy-based programming for school-aged children, encouraging reading throughout the summer.
