| 1.1 | The Prince Rupert Library Board acknowledges the traditional and unceded territory of the Ts'msyen and Sm'algyax Speaking Peoples on which this meeting takes place. | |

| 2.1 | Adoption of April Meeting Minutes, statistics, and financial statements did not take place as there was no quorum. | |
| 3. | Board Chair Update | |
| 3.1 | Vice Chair R. Braun provided a brief overview of the last Executive Committee meeting, item 7 addresses Director Evaluation Procedure in more detail. | |
| 4. | Director Update | |
| 4.1 | M. Taylor provided an update on some library events and programming, as well as outreach initiatives. The study pods are incredibly popular. The library hired a Summer Tech Assistant and is currently looking for a Summer Reading Club Coordinator. The 2025 Annual Survey, which is part of the required reporting framework for all BC public libraries, is also complete. M. Taylor and one other staff member attended the BCLA annual conference in Richmond in April. Overview of topics presented at the conference and connections made. M. Taylor emphasized the value in attending as a new director. The library has hired a Summer Technology Assistant to help with the digitization of the Daily News Archive. The UBC Barber Grant has been successfully obtained for this project, while enhancement grant funds contribute to the assistant's wages. Turning the Pages has now been digitized up to June 30, 1964. | |

| 6.1 | Policy Committee: Two policies require board approval: Challenge Policy and Membership policy. Next meeting is set for June 10th. | |
| 6.2 | Strategic Planning Committee: M. Taylor provided an update on the last Strategic Planning Committee meeting. Two dates have been set during the summer, June 29th and July 20th, for the committee to meet and pare down the existing draft document into its final form. A meeting will be set in September for board approval. Staff have been consulted to provide feedback and prioritize actionable items. | |

| 7.2 | D. Smith invited board members to the 40th Anniversary celebration of the Unemployed Action Centre on June 6th. | |
