16. Doily Parasol donated by Marcia Paterson, made by Chelsea Keays

This lovely parasol was created from a found umbrella and Chelsea’s collection of doilies dyed in tea. Chelsea says this umbrella casts beautiful shadows when suspended from the ceiling by the handle. It took about 10 hours to assemble this unique item and as for the inspiration? Chelsea says, “Doilies – I love them” We paired Chelsea’s parasol with The Big Book of Doilies by the American School of Needlework.
