Here is a short list of resources for newcomers to Prince Rupert, British Columbia, or Canada as a whole:
Local Resources
- The Hecate Strait Employment Development Society provides immigrant and settlement services as well as links to online resources for newcomers.
Other Resources
- The Richmond Public Library has a Canadian Practice Citizenship Test which can be completed on their website, among many other resources for newcomers.
Provincial Resources
- Welcome BC has made their Newcomers' Guide available in several languages, and there are also Newcomers' videos, also available in many languages. Their available resources spanning 15 languages are tabulated here.
Federal Resources
- Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has a searchable directory of newcomer services providers. They also produce a publication, Welcome to Canada: What you should know, available in several formats.
