Daisy Iverson: Cropped Ruana Vest: beautiful pink vest made from Norwegian wool, designed by Donna Druchanos in her book “Arctic Lace”. A Yup’ik grass basket held at the Museum of the North in Fairbanks, Alaska inspired the pattern. This unique vest was knitted on circular needles all in one piece, from the bottom up, which posed an interesting challenge. Daisy wishes to acknowledge the assistance she received from library staff in enlarging the pattern and helping with the instructions. Daisy enjoys: “Things I Learned from Knitting...Whether I Wanted to or Not” by Stephanie Pearl-MacPhee.
