Laura Esposito: Basket of Home Preserves With 3 Hand-knit Cotton Dishcloths: Preserving food has been part of Laura's life since early childhood, with her mother and nonna (grandmother). Knowing the ingredients and their provenance is part of the pleasure: the beets are from Fraser Lake, the crab-apples from Smithers and the zucchini and peppers from Penticton, all from friends. Buon appetito! The Sunset “Home Canning” is only one of the library's many books on the subject.
