Sue made this unusual quilt as a birth present for Jeannine when our families both lived in Oona River during the 1980s. The cover is pieced and fits like an envelope over the quilted lining, which is made of flannel filled with carded sheep's wool. That way, the cover can be removed for laundering. The quilt, as you can imagine, is very warm and soft, and, as you can tell by the wear, was much used and loved.
