January 12 2022 Board Meeting Minutes
Library Board Meeting
Present: Nick Adey (NA), Chris Armstrong (CA), Carolina de Ryk (CdR), Chelsea Keays (CK), Stephanie Lysyk (SL), Brendan Turner (BT), Dale White (DW), Andrea Wilmot (AW), Joe Zelwietro (JZ, Chief Librarian)

Meeting commenced at 7:05 pm.
- Consent agenda accepted, motion by CdR, seconded by SL
- Discussion agenda
- JZ gave an overview about the heating/broken drain issues the library had to deal with in most of December and beginning of January. NA added that he had a report from the Jet Controls representative which mentioned some of the issues: defective actuator in a air-handling unit needs replacement, radiator pipes have air in them, the boiler system needs balancing, the library crawl space is open to the outside and needs insulation and/or direct heat. City is reviewing the company's report and will inform JZ of the actions they will take.
- JZ informed trustees of the death our staff member, Lisa Latimer. Trustees expressed their condolences and expressions of care.
- Update of joint CBC/PRL 'Our Stories' project by trustee CdR. This project's funding has been granted by CBC and CdR and JZ are working on a memorandum of understanding for both parties. CdR and JZ are hopeful for a successful project.
