12. 3 jars of Anitpasto by Laura Esposito
Laura Esposito: 3 jars of Antipasto: Laura's mother obtained the recipe for this antipasto from the newspaper in Trail over 60 years ago, and Laura has been making it for forty years, ever since she arrived in Prince Rupert. It is delicious on crackers or served with meats and cheeses as part of a first course, Italian style. A batch of 26 jars takes 10 hours to make and costs $110 for the ingredients, plus the cost of the jars and lids. Minimum bid: $40 for three jars. Accompanying book: “Italy: the Food and the Lifestyle” from the World food series.

Leslee Bruce: Framed “Child's Friend” Needlepoint: a lovely, gentle image with a sweet motto to decorate a baby's nursery or child's room. This item took many hours to create. Paired with the poetry collection: “The Little Book of Friendship” selected by Caroline Walsh; illustrated by Rosamund Fowler

This spectacular crafted item is based on the book: “A West Coast Summer” by Caroline Woodward, a gorgeous children's picture book about summer on the Pacific Northwest coast
08. "Evening Light" photograph on acrylic by Moyna Macilroy
Moyna Macilroy: “Evening Light” photograph on acrylic. The light settling for the night and the wind calming down, this peaceful scene. Cost of materials: $95. This iconic coastal image was paired with the book “North Coast Collected “ by members of the Prince Rupert Writers' Group, edited by Dave Speck.
07. “Tsimshian Starry Night” made by Robert Moses White and donated by Joanne Finlay
Joanne Finlay: Painting “ Tsimshian Starry Night” by Robert Moses White. Robert is Ts'msyen (Tsimshian) and has been painting for 28 years. This painting is from his 13-year retrospective done in 2010. He lost most of his fingers in an industrial accident in 1997/98 and is considered a disabled artist - still working. This painting is valued at $250. Paired with the book “Keepers of the Night- Native stories and Nocturnal Activities for Children” by Michael K. Caduto and Joseph Bruchac.
06. "Full Moon Revenge of the Frog Clan" painting made by Robert Moses White and donated by Joanne Finlay
Joanne Finlay: Painting “Full Moon Revenge of the Frog Clan” by Robert Moses White. This painting was exhibited at the Ruth Harvey gallery in 2010 for the 100th Birthday of Prince Rupert and valued at $300. Paired with the book “Adawga Gant Wilaaytga gyetga suwildook = Rituals of Respect and the Sea Otter Hunt” by Henry Reeves and illustrated by Sara Porter, from the Tsimshian Series: Teachings of our Grandfathers.
04. One Month of Fresh Homemade Bread by Chelsea Keays
This is not only for the bread available on auction night, but three more loaves, delivered to your door once a week. (If you live in Prince Rupert…) Chelsea’s inspiration was the book “Sourdough” by Sarah Owens; unfortunately we don’t have that book, so have substituted “Bread” by Beth Hensperger, a lovely compendium that includes sourdough breads.
