21 - Hand Knitted Baby Blanket by Laura Esposito

This baby blanket was knit with a variegated array of pastel colours in Laura's version of the basked weave stitch. Laura says that making crafts is a very enjoyable way to relax while keeping your hands occupied.

20 - Handcarved Fairy Door, Dragon, and Books by John Trew

This collection of items includes four different things; first a hand carved fairy door and dragon, and two books, The Last Fairy Door by N.A. Davenport and Ali and the Fairy Door by Laura Hatchell. Taking more than a day to make, these beautiful items would help give your favourite space a touch of magic.

19 - Two Gaia Shoulder Hugs by Anonymous

These two scarves or shoulder hugs have been donated by an anonymous library friend. They are made of a blend of lamb's wool, sily, nylon, and kid mohair, and have beautiful botanical inspired colours, and have labels attached with washing instructions.

18 - Yukon Northern Lights Mosaic by Dolly Harasym

Inspired by the poem "The Cremation of Sam McGee", this has been a project Dolly has long wanted to do. Initially, it was planned as paint on silk, but a new interest in mosaics brought this piece into being. Special thanks from Dolly to her instructor and friend Sandra Cummings for helping her develop her own style in her studio.

17 - Teddy Bears' Picnic Quilt by Trish Banighen

This quilt is a child's quilt based on the song and picture book. Trish fell in love with the 'bears' fabric and this design is meant to fell as if you're look through the trees into a grassy forest glade where the bears are playing. This design was not based on a pattern but grew organically, thus the book choice.

16 - Italian Antipasto by Laura Esposito

Laura's mother found the recipe in the Trail Daily News more than 65 years ago, starting a family tradition. This antipasto is usually paired with cold cuts, fruit, pickles, olives, cheese, bread in the first course of a meal, then the Italians start to eat! Buon appetito!

15 - Music Note Wreath by Rae Klassen

This paper wreath is made out of many music note printed papers rolled into cones and is approzimately 20" (50 cm) wide and 7" (18 cm) thick. Prepare for your Christmas season with this spectacular new door decoration for work or home.

14 - Needles and Notions Fabric Album by Janice Astawa

This is a Japanese 'Boro' inspired piece. Boro is an ancient tradition of placing raw-edged fabric over damaged fabric holding it in place with fancy stitches; the modern version of this practice is sometimes called slow stitching. Colored threads, beads, ribbons and such stuff have been added to complete this piece.

13 - Forest Magic by Janice Astawa

This project started out by frogging (rip it, rip it) many, many times. These fingerless gloves in a "woodland fairy" pattern and is made of a wool, silk and mohair blend. There may be a balaclava sequel next year...maybe.

12 - Heritage Rug by Dagmar Ohman

This heritage style rug was inspired by the quote "Idle art rug made from things that have no further use."  This rug is approximately 33 1/2" (86 cm) wide and it's machine washable and dryer friendly: the best way is to dry it in the sun and finish it off in the dryer.
