48. Baby Blanket, Book and Puppet Set
This beautiful baby blanket was given to Helen Moore by a friend but never used. Now coupled with Guess How Much I Love You by Sam McBratney and a matching finger puppet, the blanket has been dry cleaned and is ready to wrap your little one with love. The book and puppet are included in the auction.
47. Key Lime Pie
This freshly made Childhood Key Lime Pie was made with the most accurate ingrediants available. Donated by Victoria Smith, the recipe comes from Patricia Cornwell's Scarpetta's Winter Table. Dr. Kay Scarpetta, the medical examiner of Cornwell's novels had this recipe from her childhood, and it has been reproduced as faithfully as possible for your sumptueous delight.
46. Matching Baby Blanket and Hat
This beautiful baby blanket and hate are made from soft green wool. Coupled with Happiness is a Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown by Charles M. Schultz, it was donated by a friend of Cindy Payne. Super soft, this knit is perfect for even the youngest of children, though you might want to be careful the dog doesn't steal it...
45. Knitted Gnome and Ceramic Stone
This beautiful gnome and sunny stone was donated by a "Friend of the Library". Perhaps the Wee Folk are looking to help us out? We've coupled it with Gnomes by Wil Huygen, but this little guy needs help finding a home. (We're not sure he can see with his hat pulled down like that.)
44. Papercraft Cardholders
These beautiful card holders are the result of the recycling of actual books, but don't worry, they had it coming to them. Donated by Rae Klassen, they have been coupled with The Card by D.L. Nelson. Excellent for displaying Christmas cards, business cards, or even todos or notes!
43. Prince Rupert Area Book
This book details the story of trade and development of the West Coast. Canada's Pacific Gateway: Realizing the Vision by local author Dr. W.B.M. Hick was donated by Michael Gurney and the Prince Rupert Port Authority. The book details the account of the people behind the vital rail and sea links that focus on Vancouver and Prince Rupert.
42. Baby Bear Hat
This knitted baby's hat can cover any precious bare head this winter. Contributed by Arianne Loranger-Saindon, it was inspired by Oursons de Minuit by Dana Kubick. This hat took ten hours to quilt, and would be adorable for young child.
39 & 40. Pot-Holders and Tea Cozies
These lovely pot holders and tea cosy were hand quilted and will be auctioned off in two sets. Inspired by Lots of Scraps: It's Time to Quilt by Jeanne Stauffer, they were contributed by the library's own Lou Allison. They are made from squares created in a class by the legendary Pam Mahoney and a pattern from the equally legendary Sheila Seidemann.
38. Quilted Cushion
Rest your head on this quilted pillow inspired by Big Book of Small Quilts by Mary Hickey. Donated by Jean Clerihue, this pillow features layered strips of fabric and a pair of cute eyes playing peekaboo from the center of the square.
37. Quilted Bag with Fabric Art Books
Inspired by Two-Hour Quilted Christmas Projects, Jean Clerihue has created this lovely quilted bag for quilters. Inside are the books Your First Quilt Book and Beautiful Banners, and all three books are included with the bag for auction.
